Radosław Kurek
He graduated with honors from the Academy of Music Stanisław Moniuszko in the class of prof. Catherine Popowa-Zydroń, where he was an assistant in 2008-2009. He is currently an employee of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
His skills on the piano and chamber music master classes, working under the guidance of, among others. K. Popova-Zydroń, E. Pobłocka, M. Nosowska, W. Sour, Sz. Esztényi, P. Vernikova, N. Schmidt, S. Hamann, V. Nossiny and J.O ‘Conor.
Is the winner of piano and chamber music competitions including: the International Chopin Competition in Narva (Third Prize, Estonia 2001), International Competition. Pancho Vladigerov in Shumen (Fourth Prize , Bulgaria 2007), XXIX National Chamber Music Competition (First prize, Wroclaw 2003) and the International Chamber Music Competition im. K. Bacewicz (Fourth Prize, Lódż 2004). As the member of Dali quartet was a finalist of the International Competition of Chamber Ensembles; Vittorio Gui in Florence” (2008), on [ lub with ] the Ukrainian cellist Georgyi’m Lomakovem in 2008 he won First Prize at the International Competition. J. Brahms in Pörtschach (Austria). In 2012, he won The Bridget Doolan Prize for the best performance of W.A. Mozart International Piano Competition in Dublin.
He performs both as a soloist and chamber musician in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and many Polish cities. As a soloist he has performed with orchestras including the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Philharmonic Wroclaw Philharmonic in Shumen (Bulgaria) andwith Sinfonietta Cracovia. Toured with J. Kaspszykiem, M. Nesterowicz, KA Kulka,R. Jablonski, J. Kotnowska, H. Wojtkowiakiem, has also worked with R. Kabara, W. Kwasny and A. Zubel.
He has performed in such venues as the Krakow Philharmonic, Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Philharmonic Wrocław, Lódz Philharmonic Auditorium Augustianum (Rome) and the Great Hall of the Town Hall in Vienna (Festsaal).
Radoslaw Kurek recorded for the label DUX, Soliton and Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich, as well as the Radio Gdańsk and TVP.
