This editorial form,fundamental at the time, of compositions for the piano with an orchestra accompaniment […] was also a form presenting the work in salons and even concert halls.[…] The version for solo piano- totally fallen into oblivion – actually make sense: first of all, the concertos can be performed also in small halls […] With the version for one piano, the pianist is conductor at the same time, and this is both challege and inspiration.
