Yuko Kawai
This talented young music performer born in Nagoya, Japan, is a prize
winner of Frédéric Chopin International Piano Competition at Mariánské
Lázne in the Czech Republik. She lives in poland and performs in Europe
and Japan.
After graduating from Kikuzato Music High School, Nagoya, she continued
her studies at the Arts and Music University in Aichi, with Professor
Atsuko Oohori. She obtained her MA degree in Professor Both Lehel`s
class at the Franz Liszt Academy of music in Budapest. Between
1991-1994, she continued her piano edukation at the Frédéric Chopin
Academy of Music in Warsaw, unter the tutorship of Professor Jan Ekier.
In 1995, she performed at the"Chopin chez George Sand" Festival in
Nohant (France), and at the International Festival in Lvov (Ukraine).
In the same year she participated in the 13th International Chopin
Piano Competition in Warsaw, where she won the recognition of the
critics, audience and jury.
Yuko Kawai began to perform during her studies, when she took part in
the series of recital called "CDC Artists Presentation " in Nagoya,
performing works by R.Schumann, A.Schönberg, A.Berg, A.Webern, as well
as Chopin recitals. Since 1996, she has regularly performed in recitals
and with orchestra in Poland, Japan, France, Germany, Holland, The
Chech Republik and Ukraine. She has already made a nymber of recordings
for the Polish Radio and television. |
