About the Lutosławski CD



      An excellent performance, full of passion, energy and emotion, with masterful interpretations from the soloists (Olga Pasiecznik, Janusz Olejniczak) . Jerzy Maksymiuk, as always, gives a convincing interpretation, coupled with a splendid command of the orchestra and both rhythmic and melodic precision…No other conductor equals him in the effective use of moments of tension and relaxation, aided by the whole palette of dynamic range and timbral colours. Words of praise should also be addressed at the sound engineers who took great pains to achieve a sound characterized by a sense of space, warm timbre and ideal balance between the soloists and orchestra…
