RUCH MUZYCZNY No 12/2003
On Chopin's Scherzo's, National Edition Vol.4
"His [Wojciech Świtała's] interpretations delight with their clarity, glamour and well-thought-out proportions - agogic and dynamic."
Kacper Miklaszewski
On Chopin's Rondos and Allegro de concert, National Edition Vol. 12
"Wojciech Świtała skillfully combines the glamour of a virtuoso with gentleness. No wonder his interpretation of the Rondos excellently renders the links of these music works with the brillant style as well as with the ethereal poetics of Chopin."
"In the Allegro de concert, the pianist magnificently diversifies orchestral and solo parts, and presents the listeners with Chopin the symphony maker (...).The recording is even more precious as it promotes the piece absent from music stages."

On Chopin's Piano Concertos, National Edition Vol. 11
"Piotr Paleczny and Jerzy Maksymiuk have introduced a lot of new elements to the Chopin tradition with their interpretation of Concertos. The point is not only in adding the romantic spirit to the orchestral part in the National Edition version, thus coming closer to the sound of Schumann's symphonies (...). Following the avant-garde proposition of Krystian Zimerman, in which the reflexive factor turned to be the strongest, the interpretation in the National Edition series is an important share in the dispute on the essence of Chopin's style. With his playing Paleczny suggests that Chopin when starting to compose the Concertos was a master of closed form, while in his passion for long phrases and respect for the classical order he was a forerunner of Brahms. Maksymiuk seems to support this thesis. The orchestra he leads accompanies every nuance of the soloist's performance, creating a uniform tone with it, while the loud and tasty sound is closer to the late-19th-century symphony than to the concerts by Hummel, Ries or even Beethoven."
