Description

This Cd of Chopin`s Ballads is based on the nevest Polish National Edition (Wydanie Narodowe). It is directed by prof. Jan Ekier… I regret very much that this edition, to which Ekier dedicated the biggest part of his life, is not yet famous enough. The first edition was created 40 years ago. Since 1997, a corrected version is being published. It is the only one which is based on all the existing original dokuments …. The most modern techniques are used in this edition, which is unique because it is based on 4000 compilations of musical notes used by Chopin and his pupils. Ekier`s works is outstanding because of the extraordinary phrasing, dynamics and even harmony…
